Tips on Navigating Siesta Key
Whether you’re visiting Sarasota or live in the area, you’ll likely be driving to the beach for your day on the water. Parking can be a bit tough and the main lots fill quickly. We suggest you come early and plan to stay. Alternatively, check out some of our local transportation services. These are especially helpful if you are staying on the island. Regardless of how you choose to get around while you’re here, be ready to be patient. We operate on island time, especially during busy weekends like Memorial Day. You’ll likely find yourself waiting for parking, waiting for a table at your favorite eatery, waiting for your ride. It’s okay- take a deep breath, sip a frosty drink, and enjoy the slower pace!

A few quick warnings, especially if you’re not a Floridian. The sun is already quite strong by Memorial Day in Florida, so it’s important to protect yourself. If you swim in the Gulf, be sure to observe lifeguard station flags that indicate what kind of currents or marine life are present at the moment.
