The Ringling Circus Museum
The Ringling
One of the most iconic museums and attractions near Siesta Key is The Ringling. As Sarasota became the winter headquarters for the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1927, this piece of land holds a treasure-trove of history, stories, and fun. Built by John and Mable Ringling, the grounds include everything from their beloved home, the Ca’ d’Zan (“House of John”), and Bayfront Gardens to the Museum of Art and, of course, the Circus Museum.
