Actually Go to the Beach
Maybe the thought of the beach causes you to break out in hives when you think about the traffic, the parking, the hurry to get home, and so on. When was the last time you just enjoyed the beach without the stress? By staying with us, you’re just minutes from our beautiful sand and surf, so you can simply sink your toes in the sand, play in the waves, or join a game of volleyball- without the stress and hurry of heading home later. Bring a cooler or a few bucks for the concession stand, and plenty of sunscreen, then get busy reminding yourself why so many people flock to our gorgeous shores. There’s nothing better than our powder-soft, quartz-infused sand, balmy breezes and warm, friendly Gulf waters on Siesta Beach.
What To Do on Siesta Key
There’s plenty to do on Siesta Key, and locals know the best haunts. But when was the last time you took the time to sit and stay awhile? From the Sunday evening drum circle to live art and music festivals on the first and third Fridays of the month, something musical is always happening in and around Siesta Key. Cooking out on the beach or bringing a picnic can be another great way to experience the area with new eyes. And when was the last time you actually stopped and watched one of our breath-taking sunsets? After enjoying nature’s majesty in all her fullness, stop in to the Siesta Key Oyster Bar to share a frothy beverage with friends.
What to do in Sarasota
Besides the amazing restaurants and shopping in Sarasota, which should definitely be explored in detail, there are tons of great attractions to keep you busy. Stop by Island Park at 1 Marina Plaza to enjoy the playground, dog walkers and all the sunshine you can handle as you take in the water and boats. Bring a book from the Selby Library with you, or visit Selby Gardens, right around the corner, to discover some of the coolest flora and fauna native to Florida. A walk down Main Street can result in great shopping, a few pastries or French coffee, and even a stop for some appetizers and cold beer at one of the many sports bars. For art-lovers, the Ringling Museum and the new Sarasota Art Museum at the historic former Sarasota High School building.
Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the day to day grind when we live in such a beautiful area. We forget all the amazing sights and venues our little piece of paradise has to offer.
