Sarasota Fall Festivals You Shouldn’t Miss in 2023

Florida’s version of Fall differs from most of the United States, but the area still comes alive with fun festivals celebrating the season. From pumpkin patches to harvest feasts, these events promise entertainment, food, and autumnal activities for the whole family. Join us at Best Western Siesta Key as we explore some of the must-visit Sarasota area fall festivals in 2023.
Fruitville Grove
Every weekend in October from 10 am to 5 pm, 7410 Fruitville Road, Sarasota
Kicking off the fall festival season is Fruitville Grove, which has excellent activities for kids, including a petting zoo and playground area, bounce houses, pony and hay rides, and costume contests. Enjoy live music as you peruse the farmer’s market featuring local and organic vendors. The Torres Family Circus regularly puts on a show that will impress audiences of all ages. Parking is $5 per car, and admission is free, though some activities have a small fee.
The Meadows Fall Festival
Saturday, October 16, from 11 am to 2 pm, 3101 Longmeadow, Sarasota
The Meadows Fall Festival is a family-friendly event that promises fun and excitement. Located in the Meadows Country Club, this festival features many activities. From pumpkin painting and hayrides to live music and various food vendors, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t forget to explore the artisan market, showcasing the talents of local artists. Admission is $5 per person, but children under 10 are free.
Hunsader Farms
Saturday-Sunday, October 16-17, 23-24 and 30-31 from 9 am to 5 pm, 5500 County Road 675, Bradenton
Just a short drive from Sarasota, Hunsader Farms welcomes visitors to its annual fall festival. This sprawling farm transforms into a wonderland of fall-themed activities. Venture into the pumpkin patch to find the perfect gourd, navigate a corn maze, enjoy scarecrow displays, and more. The festival has craft vendors, a petting zoo, and many food options. The homemade ice cream and pumpkin pie are a must-try for those with a sweet tooth. Admission is $15, parking is $5, and children 10 and under are free.
Fall Festival at University Town Center (UTC)
Saturday-Sunday, October 23-24, from 11 am to 6 pm, 140 University Town Center Drive, Sarasota
The Fall Festival at UTC is a popular autumn event in its third year. Set amidst the stylish backdrop of the UTC shopping district, this festival has a pumpkin patch, food and beer trucks, and a pet costume contest. Adults can explore vendors showcasing crafts and goods, perfect for finding unique gifts or home decor. For the little ones, there are carnival rides, a pumpkin pageant show, and trick-or-treating from 4 pm to 6 pm. Admission is free.
Humane Society Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 23, from 1 pm to 4 pm, 2515 14th St. W., Bradenton
For those with a soft spot for furry friends, the Humane Society Harvest Festival is an event with a noble cause. Hosted by the Humane Society of Manatee County, enjoy a day filled with family-friendly activities, including pet adoptions, costume contests for humans and pets, festival games, raffles, photo ops, and more. Browse the craft vendors, enjoy delicious food, and interact with adorable rescue animals. Admission is free, and pet food donations are welcomed.
Halloween Food Truck Friday Night
Friday, October 29, from 5 pm to 8 pm, 400 Palmetto Ave., Osprey
As Halloween approaches, the Halloween Food Truck Friday Night in Osprey promises a spooktacular evening filled with delicious food and seasonal treats. This event features the Viva La Taco food truck, which serves tasty Mexican cuisine, and the Fusions Ice Cream food truck will serve dessert. To add to the festive atmosphere, there will be a costume contest at 6:30 pm, with the winner scoring free ice cream. Bring a blanket and enjoy the view of Little Sarasota Bay, picnic style. Be sure to RSVP.
