Looking to head somewhere warm and tropical for spring break? Siesta Key is where you need to be. Whether you’re craving adventure on the water, relaxing on the beach, or dancing the night away with a fruity drink in your hand, Siesta Key has it all. When you stay at The Best Western Siesta Key, you’ll have easy access to everything mentioned here, plus all the fantastic amenities that come with our facility (like our tiki bar and live music by the pool). Here’s a glimpse of what you can find when you visit Siesta Key for spring break.
Fun on the Water
While lounging on the beach all day is super relaxing and highly recommended while you’re here, we also recommended having some fun in the sun by getting out on the water. There are multiple ways to do this, depending on how much adventure you’re seeking. Siesta Key Watersports is a great place to start, with charter boats and tours, jet ski rentals, and plenty of other on-the-water equipment. Siesta Paddleboards can hook you up with the right boards for everyone in your crew and even offers lessons at reasonable rates. Talk to Parasail Siesta to learn how to experience the majestic serenity of floating over the water from a parasail.
Great Shopping
If you love trolling for treasures and exploring the shops, Siesta Key Village will not disappoint. Along Ocean Boulevard, you’ll find plenty of specialty boutiques, souvenir shops, jewelry designers and beach apparel to keep you busy all afternoon. Since shops are peppered among cafes, watering holes, and eateries, you just might find yourself revisiting The Village multiple times while you’re here. This quaint area is not overly large, so you can take your time meandering the streets, browsing in shops that catch your interest, and taking a break at a local coffee house or ice cream shop.
Delicious Eats, Drinks, and Treats
When it’s time to eat, there is no shortage of great food on Siesta Key. For breakfast, pop into any of the cafes, coffee houses, or diners that feature locally grown and responsibly sourced menu items. The Village Cafe is a favorite for its casual atmosphere and large patio area- great for lounging in the morning sun and watching The Village wake up. Of course, you can find plenty of seafood along Ocean Boulevard and it’s all fresh and delicious. We love Spearfish Grille for its easy-going service and amazing seafood. For vegan vacationers, Nutritious You Cafe is a plant-based grocery and deli located on Midnight Pass Road, just around the corner from the main strip in The Village. For a laid-back counter-serve experience, Island House Tap & Grill offers delicious Latin street treats, like tacos and ceviche. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you can find it on Siesta Key.
Siesta Key Nightlife
Not only is Siesta Key a hot spot during the day, but the night life is unbeatable as well. Plenty of bars and restaurants feature live music most nights, like Gilligan’s Island Bar & Grill. Happy hour deals and a tiki hut vibe make this a great stop as the sun goes down. There’s nothing like fresh oysters and cold beer, which are just a few reasons Siesta Key Oyster Bar is a popular hangout. Their award-winning cocktails and food menu put them on the map a long time ago and they’re still thriving. For a loud, upbeat club scene, The Beach is the place to be. Late night dancing to live music and DJs seven nights a week featuring special events regularly, even locals know this is the best club around. For a more laid-back late night, The Crescent Club attracts plenty of locals with old-fashioned decor and dimly lit vibe.
Whatever you’re looking for during spring break this year, you’re sure to find it on Siesta Key. Come see why so many people love to visit our sleepy little village on an award-winning beach. Stay with us at The Best Western Siesta Key to be sure every accommodation is met, then venture out to see what’s in store for you. The island is calling your name- answer the call and visit Siesta Key this spring break!
